Log-in and registration page
METCAST 4G will provide you with met-ocean forecasting services for all of Shell EPE. This new system is set-up with separate user registration. The reason for this is that you will soon be able to configure your own portal so that the location and parameters you want to see are set as default in the services. Separate user accounts also means that only Shell employees and contractors will be able to use the service as only 1 person can be logged into any account at any one time for the services to work properly. So, keep your password safe.STORM WARNINGS AND EMERGENCY WEATHER NOTIFICATIONS
Users can enrol in two notification services:1. Storm Warnings
This service gives advance e-mail warnings of large sea-state events that may impact areas within the forecast region. Users on the distribution list receive an initial e-mail up to 48 hours before the event is forecast to impact and thereafter 6-hourly updates until the event has subsided. These warnings are most often issued during autumn and winter months, typically once or twice a month depending on the severity of the conditions.
2. Emergency Weather Notifications
On very rare occasions, the weather starts to develop significantly differently to the forecast conditions. Under these circumstances emergency weather warnings would be issued to those on the distribution list via e-mail, SMS and landline phone using the Shell Notification System.

If you are a new user, click on ‘new user’ below and fill in the next form. You will receive an activation code in your email account which you will have to use before you can log-in to METCAST 4G. This can be done either of two ways:1. Click on the link you receive in the activation mail.
2. Click on the link ‘got an activation code?’ on this page and type the code in manually.
